The “Lost!” program is a fun, hands-on outing in the woods for kids over 6 and their parents. It focuses on trail safety, how to “stay found,” and what to do when mom and dad are not in sight. Getting lost or even separated while in the woods, a park, or even a shopping mall is a frightening and potentially dangerous experience for both child and parent.

The “Lost!” program will allow children to “get lost” and then understand how to “get found.” Experiences include: what to do while your family finds you; how to survive a night out alone; basic first aid skills for kids and parents; food, water and clothing necessities; and your day-pack and you - what to pack for that day in the woods.

The class lasts about three hours, and the size is limited to six children, each with an adult partner. Each adult and child needs good shoes and their own day pack, water, lunch, and sun screen. Any special needs or medical considerations should be discussed with the instructor at the time of registration.
